We’ve been asked about accommodation on Holy Island that takes dogs so many times (we don’t at Belvue Guesthouse), that I decided to compile a list for all you four-legged-lovers out there. The truth is, the list is short if you are staying for less than a week, but if you’re staying seven days or longer, there are several good options.
And that’s pretty much your lot for short stays. If you’re stuck without a place to stay on the island with your dog, you can try the Lindisfarne Inn on the A1 turning towards Holy Island. They are not on the island itself, but provide dog-friendly accommodation a short drive away (at low tide).
Most holiday lets require a minimum booking period of one week, though some have flexibility in low season or if business is slow. There are a lot of holiday lets on Holy Island, so this list will grow as I go through them. If you know of (or own) accommodation on the island that is pet friendly, feel free to let me know.
Owners change (and change their mind), so please also check with the cottages to ensure they are happy to take your pooch.
If you’d like to leave your dog in Kennels in the area, there are the following options:
I created this list to help all those who contact us and are looking for a dog-friendly holiday. If, on the other hand you are allergic, or want a pet-hair-free holiday, feel free to book with us at Belvue Guesthouse.
