Dog-friendly accommodation on Holy Island (Lindisfarne)

Dog on the beach re Dog-friendly accommodation on Holy Island

Update (Dec 2021)

This list is no longer maintained. For the most up-to-date information see the Holy Island accommodation listings on the new Visit Lindisfarne website. Visit Lindisfarne allows you to filter your search by dog-friendly properties and much more.

Original post: We’ve been asked about accommodation on Holy Island that takes dogs so many times (we don’t at Belvue Guesthouse), that I decided to compile a list for all you four-legged-lovers out there. The truth is, the list is short if you are staying for less than a week, but if you’re staying seven days or longer, there are several good options.

Dog friendly hotels/B&Bs on Holy Island (Lindisfarne)

  1. The Crown & Anchor Pub – they have one dog-friendly double room that books up quickly. Tel: 01289 389215 Location and details (Google Maps): Click here
  2. The Manor House Hotel – All of their rear-view rooms are dog/pet friendly (supplement applies). They don’t allow pets in their front-facing rooms. Tel: 01289 389207 Location and details (Google Maps): Click here
And that’s pretty much your lot for short stays. If you’re stuck without a place to stay on the island with your dog, you can try the Lindisfarne Inn on the A1 turning towards Holy Island. They are not on the island itself, but provide dog-friendly accommodation a short drive away (at low tide).
